Abstract Nouns

As part of their English work, Year 5 pupils have been studying Abstract Nouns.  They worked together to give nouns such as ‘happiness’ and ‘anger’ descriptions, as if they could be appreciated by the senses.  For example,  ’Loneliness tastes like …’, ‘Patience feels like …’  The results were amazing, considering that the children are only nine and ten years old!  Their finished work has been collected into a booklet, on display in reception in the Junior School.
