In Year 9′s Chapel assembly this morning, we were pleased to welcome once more Samantha Wood of Wakefield Hospice. Erin, Sam and Harry presented cheques to Samantha totalling £520, which was raised with a lunchtime musical ‘busk’ last term and a sponsored swim or run in which all Year 9 pupils took part. We are delighted to support this important local charity and were interested to hear from Samantha how far this money will go towards nursing costs. Looks like we’ll have to come up with some new fundraising ideas for next year!
