A group of our younger Junior School children have been tasting fruit to inspire their writing during their ‘Read, Write, Inc.’ lessons. They sampled a range of fruits including passion fruit, dragon fruit, strawberries, melon, mango and pomegranate; and they discovered that they like the taste of fruits that they hadn’t tried before. As the children sampled the fruit they were asked to use adjectives to describe the taste and they are now going to use their adventurous adjectives in their next writing lesson.
