Junior School Speech Day

The Junior School Speech Day was a great way to end such a busy year.  A packed crowd in the Sports Hall heard music and singing from children of all ages, from the Year 1 recorders to the whole school’s performance of ‘Friendship Forever’ and ‘Power in Me’, not to mention the cheer-leading dance from Year 5 and 6 girls that they learned during Activities Week.

There were reports on all areas of school life, read with real confidence by Year 6 pupils.  Lots of prizes were given out by our Guest of Honour, Matt Parker, who spoke to the children about the importance of education for developing skills for life and amazed them with a trick with a piece of chain and a ring.  We thank Matt for joining us and for helping to make it such a special day.
