Academic

Following our test results this year, and using the Independent Schools Inspectorate’s own classification, we can confirm that:

  • On average, 77% of children in every class achieve above average results in Maths and English
  • On average, 24% of children in every class demonstrate that they achieve results in Maths and English far above average ability, thus being in the top 5% of pupils in the country.

As a non-selective school, we are proud to be able to achieve such academic excellence.  We firmly believe this is due to the excellent teaching and pastoral care your children receive.

According to results published by Wakefield Council for Foundation Stage results 2010 St. Hilda’s Foundation & Reception classes achieved one of the highest average points per pupil of any of the other schools in the district, including other independent schools.  Well done, Foundation & Reception, what an achievement!

Our Inspection Report of 2011 noted our Outstanding Teaching, Pastoral Care and Quality of the Pupils’ Achievements.

Using national statistics and those used by the Independent Schools Inspectorate we can confirm our Outstanding Academic Achievement.
