Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is taught throughout the School, as is Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Games periods are timetabled for all year groups.
Junior School

Year 4 8-9 Studies, a modern foreign language.
Year 5 9-10 French is introduced in Year 5.
Year 6 10-11
Middle School
Form Age Subjects studied
Year 7 11-12 English, Mathematics, Science, Art, Design & Technology,
French, Geography, History, Music, Physical Education,
Religious Studies, ICT
Year 8 12-13 In Year 8 an additional Modern Language is added, either
German or Spanish. Latin is introduced for a top stream of
pupils.
Year 9 13-14 In Year 9 Science is taught as three subjects: Biology, Chemistry
and Physics.
Upper School
Form Age Subjects studied
Year 10 14-15 Ten GCSE subjects are studied: English, English Literature and
Mathematics. Pupils normally study one Modern Language and
Year 11 15-16 may study two. At least one Science subject from Biology,
Chemistry and Physics must be taken, though a pupil can take
all three. One or more of History, Geography and Religious
Studies must be taken. The other subjects from which choices
are made are: Art, Business Studies, Design & Technology,
Music, ICT and Physical Education.
Sixth Form
Form Age Subjects studied
L6 16-17 Students normally study four subjects to AS Level. These may
be chosen from Art, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry,
Computing, Design, Economics, English Language,
English Literature, French, Further Mathematics, Geography,
German, History, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education,
Psychology, Physics, Politics, Religious Studies, Spanish
and Theatre Studies.
U6 17-18 Students normally pursue three of their AS Levels through to
A2, thereby gaining three full A Levels, though it is possible
to take A2s in four subjects.
