Silcoates Junior School

Thank you for taking the time to visit our section of the Silcoates School Foundation website. We hope you find the information contained here useful, but the best way to find out about us is to visit the school and see it for yourself. It is only by meeting the children and the staff and walking around our beautiful grounds that you can truly begin to appreciate what a special environment Silcoates offers to help your child learn.

The Junior School at Silcoates works with children from Year 3 to Year 6. A large number of our children join us from our own Foundation schools at Sunny Hill House or St. Hilda's but a significant number also come from other schools in the area, both independent and maintained. The location of the school makes it easily accessible for families from the Wakefield area, the south of Leeds, the Huddersfield area, Barnsley and wider West Yorkshire.

I am lucky to have a very strong team of teachers who are always willing to give up their time to help individual children, to provide outstanding pastoral care and to offer an amazing array of extra-curricular clubs and teams.
