Appeal - Introduction

I am delighted to welcome you to the website for the Silcoates School Appeal.

Generations of Silcoatians and supporters have made the school what it is today and it is directly through their generosity that we have been able to provide our pupils with excellent facilities. Louise Leach and I are working hard with our parents, staff, friends and Old Silcoatians to raise money to help those in need through our bursary fund and to improve the facilities at Silcoates.

Our current appeal aims are:

• To develop the bursary fund
• To build an all-weather sports pitch
• To improve the accommodation of the Junior School

As we have planning permission to build the all-weather sports pitch, we have decided to 'go for gold' and a year-long fundraising effort for the pitch will begin in April 2010.  Please see the 'Projects Fund' tab on the left, which will be updated regularly with success stories and the various fund raising efforts that our parents are undertaking to support our work.

If you have ideas or would like to get involved, please contact us.  We can't do it without you!

Naturally the pitch will be of major benefit to our hockey, football and tennis players, but its benefits will be felt across the whole school.  Simply put, Silcoates will be an even better and more attractive place to study and work with the introduction of this new facility.
