There are several buses which provide a service to and from Silcoates from outlying districts.  These are organised by the School or local transport companies with the support of the School.  The buses arrive at Silcoates at 8.30am and leave at 4.10pm.

Doncaster/Leeds

The School operates a minibus service at 8.25am each morning from Wakefield Westgate Station to Silcoates for pupils who travel by train – usually from Doncaster and Leeds, but it can be used by those arriving from other destinations.  The service operates in the mornings only, but a place on a coach can be booked for the afternoon return journey. 

 

If you wish to reserve a seat on any of the School’s bus services, please contact Mrs Christine Wade, one of the School Secretaries, on 01924 885201.  The appropriate form detailing pick-up and drop-off times will be forwarded to you to be completed and returned as soon as possible.   Seats are reserved on a first come, first served basis and you are reminded that one full term’s notice in writing is required for the cancellation of a place.

 

All pupils travelling on the school buses must be aware of, and follow, the Code of Conduct which is provided at the time of confirmation of a place.  This must be signed by both the parent and the child and returned to Mrs Wade before any journeys on the School’s buses can be undertaken.
