A Standout Year of A Level Results at Silcoates
Celebrating A Level results of 72% A*-B, with students securing places at leading universities and destinations.
Students at Silcoates are celebrating after achieving an excellent set of A Level results, marking the culmination of years of hard work, ambition and determination.
The 2026 cohort has achieved an excellent set of results with a 100% pass rate, 41% of grades awarded at A*-A and 72% at A*-B.
Furthermore, 92% of university applicants have secured a place at their first-choice university, while 100% have been accepted by either their first or second choice.
There were strong performances across a broad range of subjects, including Physics, Maths and Product Design.

Among the many students achieving outstanding results this year are:
- Frank Ronan who will read Discrete Mathematics at Warwick University after achieving A*, A*, A, A in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths.
- William Fothergill who study Mechanical Engineering at Nottingham University having secured A*, A, B in Physics, Maths and Chemistry.
- Felix Moresi has been accepted on to a degree in Mechanical Engineering at University of Leeds after attaining A, A, A, B in Maths, Physics, Product Design and Further Maths.
- Alexander Goodsir is heading to University of Sheffield where he will read Civil Engineering after achieving A, A, B, B in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths.
- Oliver Fothergill is heading to Nottingham University where he will read History and Politics after achieving A, B, B in English Literature, History and Business.
- Lucy Stewart is heading to University of Huddersfield where she will read Fine Art and Illustration after achieving A, B, C in Art, Biology and Psychology.
These results reflect the principles of the Silcoates Standard, an approach to education that looks beyond examination results and enables students to thrive both at school and throughout their lives.
