We firmly believe that children learn best from being exposed to a wide range of first-hand experiences. As such, learning is enhanced through many different educational visits and day trips on a regular basis. These include expeditions to historical sites, visits to local and national businesses and residential trips.

We recognise that individual pupils have specific gifts or talents in any area. This may include aspects of the academic curriculum, sport, music, drama or the fine arts. There are a wide range of sports available with pupils competing at county, regional and sometimes national levels in one or more fields, and specialist music tuition across many instruments is a real strength of the school.

We are also fortunate to have our very own ‘forest’ on site and all children are able to enjoy a variety of learning activities in this area, along with the magnificent school grounds and facilities. Facilities range from a purpose-built Music School, a Multi-Use Games Area, the Sports Hall, tennis courts, swimming pool, science laboratories, ICT suites, a chapel, drama studio and large school hall.
