5. Welcome Day
Your child will be invited to join us for a Welcome Day. This is a chance for your child to experience the School first hand, enjoy lessons with their prospective new class, make new friends and get a feel for life as a Silcoatian. Your child will be allocated a buddy for the day. We carefully consider each Buddy and we match your child and the Buddy based on similar interests and aspirations. Many of our pupils have been through this process and offer a warm welcome and listening ear to new pupils.
Prospective pupils from Year 3 onwards undertake an assessment. This ensures the curriculum is accessible and allows us to gain a thorough understanding of how we can support your child to achieve their goals. Pupils will be invited to join an Assessment Morning and are encouraged to join their prospective future class for the remainder of the day.
