What makes Silcoates Junior School special?

The Junior School marks the next phase in the children’s learning journey, where the children continue to grow and develop between the ages of 4 and 11 years. In the Junior School, we are committed to providing the highest quality education for your child, inspiring their imagination and creativity within a caring and nurturing environment. Children are challenged and supported to reach their true potential in all areas, both academic and personal.

We celebrate each child’s individual achievements and encourage the development of self-confidence and respect for others.

As pupils progress through the Junior School, they are encouraged to take greater responsibility, both for their own learning and for the smooth running of the School, through their involvement in School Council, the organisation of charitable events and positions of responsibility such as Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, or ambassadors for national campaigns.

Above all, we want every pupil leaving the Junior School to have reached his or her potential through developing a love of learning that goes far beyond what is taught in the classroom.
