Musical Success

On Tuesday 21 February, Senior and Junior musicians gave a public concert as part of Wakefield Cathedral’s prestigious Lunchtime Recital series. The concert went brilliantly, with staff at the cathedral commenting that they never receive so much positive feedback from their audiences, despite a range of visiting professional musicians featuring in their programme. The concert opened with the Junior Samba group making a huge impact with their energy and impressive rhythmic drive, followed by Senior groups including the Wind Band, Choir, and Sax Quartet. Five Senior soloists also performed, giving stunning renditions of a wide variety of repertoire.
